Reflektor Jam

The sea is under attack from hot air balloons and zeppelins. 

Destroy the floating menaces by reflecting a laser before time runs out.

This game is for the Playdate console.

Important: use the zip version if you want to run it in the simulator.

Controls

Rotate the crank to change the angle of the mirror.

Although the game works in Playdate Simulator, it works much better on device with a real crank. Sideload it at https://play.date/account/sideload/ 

Cycle between rotating mirrors and the lighthouse mirror with A and B.

About

This is a submission for the 2024 Uncrank'd Game Jam on the themes of "Reflection" and "Float". It was created from scratch over 6 evenings in May 2024 so it's more of a prototype with a demo level than an actual game. It is inspired by the 80's/90's game Deflektor.

The game has no assets (images, sounds): everything is code generated.
